Do you have extra food growing on your residential property and are able to pick it yourself? Backyard Harvest will come and pick the produce left curb-side or on your porch and see that it is given to the Unity Shoppe for distribution to our neighbors in need. All the donated food is covered under the Good Samaritan Food Donation Act and a tax deductable receipt is given for the donation. Simply contact us with an e-mail or call 805.884.8448 to arrange a pick up time. |

Grab your cargo bike, trailer, rack & panniers and help deliver food by bicycle. Backyard Harvest has collected 20,000 lbs of fresh produce from vendors at the Farmers Market. Meet at Wheelhouse @ 528 Anacapa and help pedal some of this much needed produce to various downtown agencies serving in-need residents. Join us and get your free BYH t-shirt. |
