The educational goal of Backyard Harvest is to create a deeper appreciation for both one another and the land which sustains us. Our Teambuilding Program focuses on relationship and community building through a nature based experience, all while helping to harvest food in order to provide sustenance for others. We incorporate simple teachings and exercises focusing on the principles of nature and sustainability. Participants will not only be stengthening awareness, building trust and improving their communication skills through experiential activities, they will do so with a sense of play and joy while in service to the community and giving back to others. Backyard Harvest offers professionally fascilitated 1/2 and full day programs for corporate management, workplace employees and groups of families (parents & their children) and friends.  HARVEST CYCLE A cycleMAYnia Event Saturday 5/1/10 @ 2 pm
Grab your cargo bike, trailer, rack & panniers and help deliver food by bicycle. Backyard Harvest has collected 20,000 lbs of fresh produce from vendors at the Farmers Market. Meet at Wheelhouse @ 528 Anacapa and help pedal some of this much needed produce to various downtown agencies serving in-need residents. Join us and get your free BYH t-shirt. |
