While many folks know that Backyard Harvest collects garden surplus and gleans fruit trees so that lower income families and older adults can have better access to fresh produce, few are aware that we work with churches and other groups to grow a ton of food as well.

Our "Grow for the Greater Good" program produced more than 10,000 pounds of food in its first three years!  Participants learned about gardening, set up gardens of all shapes and sizes, and had fun working together to do something good for the community. We are grateful for their enthusiasm!
